Lookism has the storyline of: the protagonist, Daniel, who have always suffered from bullying for his fat, short and ugly looks, get to have a new body and living with two bodies. The new body is the complete opposite of the old body, with tall height, good shape and a face even better than that of actors.

Daniel enjoys his life no longer suffering from bullies and getting all the girls’ attention.

He gets to know a world he didn’t know before, and he is recruited by an entertainment agency. With the other body, he works a part-time job at a convenience store to make a living. He is capable to use his time more efficiently than others, as one of his body is awake then the other is asleep.

In the webtoon Lookism, the characters similar with the protagonist also appear near him and the story depicts their suffering or damage for their looks. Frustration from bad looks is big indeed, but there’s also those suffer for their superior looks, to be a victim of the stalking or the sexual violence. This makes the readers think about the both sides of the looks.

But in this webtoon, it’s natural to be treated better if one has better looks. The protagonist Daniel and his friend Duke are recruited to the same entertainment agency, but no matter how good they perform, only the protagonist gets better ratings and goes up faster. 

There are concerns that this webtoon shows too much, on the rampant lookism or occasional violent scenes, but it’s unlikely there’s a webtoon showing naked lookism as this one.
