SUMMARY:

Yeon Lokheun is a girl who grows up living as a boy learning martial and spiritual arts. She heads for the palace in order to clear the name of her father, a wanted criminal, where she meets the young Emperor Garyun. He promises to save her father's life in exchange for her lifelong services. After gaining Garyun's trust, she travels the world solving supernatural-like problems that arise in place of the Emperor. But how long can she continue this life without the others finding out that she is actually a woman?

Forbidden love or a situation of something that hinders you or prevents you from loving the other person because you just can’t and also you don’t have a choice because there is a lot at stake if you chose to be happy. To be honest, I hate this kind of things where the male lead and the female lead cannot be one or be together because of certain circumstances that really just reminds you that you really can’t be together, yet. Although I hate it so much, this comic made me really want to know what happens next because of its interesting storyline. I hate that it is so good that you wish you could read what’s next but can’t because it seldomly updates and it really, really is making me cry. This is the first time that I actually liked the idea of a concept closely about a forbidden love but I think they will be together in the end, but still, it hurts.

Yeon Lok Heun, is the lead female who lived as a boy with knowledge of martial arts. She became an asset inside the palace replacing her father due to a certain situation and her love for family. I love how revolutionary her character is. From the very beginning of the story on how she was introduced, her background and appearance up till the current chapters she was consistently an impressive female lead. I’m in love with her whole personality and her attitude towards colleagues and to whom she loves is quite different. You can see so much flexibility into her character and also you really cannot deny her loyalty. I love how her character shows a lot of possibility on what she will be or what she will take on next and I am looking forward to it in the next chapters.

Garyun, the current Emperor of the kingdom who was known as a cold Emperor but is actually kind in real life. She met both sides of Yeon Lok Heun as his own General and as a regular woman not pretending to be a boy. His character appearance and in general actually reminds me of Zuko from the Avatar: The Last Air Bender but I am not sure if it is just me or others thinks as well but it is only my opinion. His character actually depends on what the situation is actually is or takes place, like literally in the eyes of a lot of people he holds up his image and reputation displayed as the ruler and behind the curtains he is actually down to earth and kind which is I think his charm in the story. He is actually serving me the idea of being the epitome of a hopeless romantic person who has it all but cannot fully have them all because the complicated love story he has with his ideal girl to become his life partner. I also love his sense of respect for Yeon Lok Heun which made me really admire him especially with scenes that is just between them. I am really expecting a lot his character as well or as much as the female lead because they both have interesting conflict with their own personality.

Again, I will say it once more that I really love this comic so much. Maybe a lot of people will see this as a typical story with just a few distinctions but for me this is quite unique and interesting which made me really pay attention as the chapters progresses. I love the passion between the male lead and the female lead which actually sways your emotions although you are just reading it actually touches your heart. I’m sure there are a lot of readers who are looking forward to the near future on where they will really meet as is without any hindrances and complications, I, for one, am excited and can’t wait on how the story will go. I hope that it will continually be as lovely and overflowing with amazing storyline until the end. Hopefully, updates would be as frequent as possible and longer chapters please. This is another comic that I really am looking forward to the future series of events and what their journey will be and how will everything be solved with them having personal complications, new struggles popping out everywhere and just in general on how it will work out. Characters are well laid out with backgrounds that is really interesting and a really good job to the author and creator for everything and for actually turning me into a fan of this comic.
