Protagonist “Cha Hyun Soo” is indeed deceived if realtor described the apartment as a sweet home. Most of the residents are monsters, and the apartment is so old that you can hear people taking poop from the different unit. No income with age of 18, dead parents, no help from the relatives, no money to live. Overwhelmed by described situations, the protagonist decided to become lonely outsider by locking himself in a room. Increasingly, the title seems to be getting more ironic. The protagonist Cha Hyun Soo locks himself in a house with a plan of killing himself after finishing his favorite animation. While the main character stays isolated inside the house, would he become the only survivor in a world full of monsters? Is that why the cartoon is called a “sweet home”?
