I want to say now is the golden age of adult webtoons. In fact, it seems like many underground x-rated Japanese mangas were spread around widely even when there were strict restrictions on x-rated materials, but now it is on a whole another level of having new x-rated cartoons daily with their creators getting legally paid. This means creating environment in Korea became more diverse. Not only that there are more in quantity, but also the quality of these webtoons developed very far. Drawing that’s comparable to that of Japanese mangas that have older traditions and history, unique individuality and story surprises readers, and this makes me wonder if there were these many hidden expert artists in Korea. I want to introduce three adult webtoons in this article. Two of these three webtoons are winners of <The First Big 4 Webtoons for Adults Contest> by Lezhin Comics.

1. Atonement Camp (Lahm Jaak)

 

- This webtoon won “the best webtoon for male readers” in the contest. It applies the same for all kinds of creative works – it is important to attract a reader’s interest in the beginning, and this webtoon did an awesome job in doing this. Sensational drawing style and a hot female character being kidnapped by random dudes were enough to be interesting. It came out that she wasn’t kidnapped for no reason.  Popular racing model, ‘Daae Choi’ enjoyed having sex with many other guys by seducing them with her pretty face and sexy body. She also had a plan to get a son of a rich pastor to marry her (I mean she is not a completely bad person). But things turned out pretty badly. She earned grudges of many other guys. These guys created ‘Atonement Camp’ together. The story that has been come out yet covers how she have earned grudges of these guys. Of course, there has been many sex scenes during the story, and awaiting catastrophe for Daae is much expected   

2. Capture (Park So)

 

- This webtoon won “the best webtoon for female readers” in the contest. Won the best webtoon for female readers, this webtoon’s overall environment and mood is outstanding. The decadent scent radiates through the webtoon. The female protagonist “Gahee Jeong” is the female university student who studies photography and has a very special hobby. She has very free sex-life - enjoying orgies and not being picky about genders of her sex partners. At first, it was her side hobby to take pictures, but now it became a huge collection. And now she takes pictures of naked guys, girls and couples having sex frequently. “Yoon Seongha” in Physical Education major attracted Gahee’s attention. According to the character description, he is an innocent and handsome man. Seongha is unaware of Gahee's hobby and sex-life, and he gets attracted by her beauty and lively personality. A girl with a hobby of taking naked couples and an innocent guy studying PE make romance between them an interesting material. Drawing style also suits the story. However, one drawback is that the series haven't started yet. Let’s wait for the webtoon to start in near future. 

3. Immoral Possessiveness (Yu Jeong Lee)

 

- As the title suggests, this webtoon is about the female university student who has immoral possessiveness. The webtoon’s protagonist ‘Hyeri’ is a hard-working student on the outside, but she is the completely opposite on the inside. Her dad having affairs when she was young made her family break down. Such past made her personality twisted, so she only goes for guys who’s already in relationship. Basically, she is the typical victim who becomes the bully. If an attractive young woman seduces guys sexually, even guys with wives or girlfriends will have difficult times to resist. Well if you ask if the webtoon is about Hyeri messing around with different guys, it’s not. Hyeri gets very interested by the professor who doesn’t get easily seduced by her. This professor is actually preparing for the revenge against Hyeri with his old friend who lost her boyfriend to Hyeri and his son who deeply respects the professor. From one point of view, this can be the typical story line of x-rated adult contents, so readers who likes this kind of stuff might be able to guess what this webtoon’s about. And if you are looking for this kind of genre, I recommend this webtoon without hesitance.
