8 episodes in total. Not a lot. Still, it's not hard to get a rough idea of the purpose of the content and story to write a review. If you've already read the eight episodes thoroughly and you still don't know what they are about, it would be either because the webtoon has wasted it's introductory part, or the reviewer simply can't analyze the webtoon. For the same reason, I was a bit confused at first when I read the webtoon called 'The Delusion Field'. Now I see that it had a full-out omnibus composition. It's no wonder that after one story gets finished in only two episodes, completely different characters and stories appear from episode three. Therefore, it's always a good idea to read the official introduction before viewing the narrative.

 

The Delusion Field is an omnibus adult webtoon. As disclosed above, a total of eight episodes are published at the time of writing this review. If you count them by stories, three separate stories are already released. Though it will become clearer as more episodes get stacked up, the materials and settings covered by the Webtoon are quite diverse. The webtoon depicts subjects like a young couple who married each other since they had a similar fetish or a clumsy, but beautiful senior sharing deep love with her male junior in the office.

 

I have mentioned many times whenever I write reviews that it would be rude to spoil the contents when reviewing omnibus stories. Overall, it is a webtoon that has the three elements with adequate material, a decent story, and respectable enough artwork. As the title suggests, the story is close to the sexual fantasy of men (or perhaps, women?) rather than being a general romance, but it is indeed quite far from deep- dark fantasy. Among all adult media featuring R-rated materials, I could see that the webtoon is standing on the soft side.I like the fact that female characters are not passive or flat and are actively participating in delusions.

 

The webtoon doesn't drag it's story at all. After showing everything that the readers want to see, it easily moves on to the next episode. Unlike some annoying adult comics - I think I've encountered a lot of cases like these in Japanese manga - it doesn't take a lackluster ending after raising expectations in the intro. The way the story is told and concluded falls off just right. It is a virtue that an omnibus must have.
