Main story of <Love Revolution> is about ‘Wang Ja-rim’, a female character’, and ‘Gong Ju-yeong’, a male character. As you can feel with the name, ‘Gong Ju-yeong’ is feminine and cheerful and ‘Wang Ja-rim’ is blunt and masculine. ‘Gong Ju-yeong’, who moved to the town where he had lived before as he enters the high school, falls in love with ‘Wang Ja-rim’ who paid for his fare on the way to school. ‘Gong Ju-yeong’ consistently appeals ‘Wang Ja-rim’. He chases ‘Wang Ja-rim’ every day, visit her class every break time and does everything to show off himself. But ‘Wang Ja-rim’, who has been hurt by a boy in the middle school, thinks that he is same like other boys. Because she is afraid of being hurt again, she does not open her mind easily. 

‘Gong Ju-yeong’ is very bright boy with round face and full of charms. Even though ‘Wang Ja-rim’ says that she doesn’t like him, but he is still stuck with her. Even though he is very common boy character, ‘Gong Ju-yeong’, who is quite brave, starts to have date with ‘Gong Ju-yeong’ after 3 months. But there is no such change before even though they said that they are going to have on date. Rather, ‘Wang Ja-rim’ treats ‘Gong Ju-yeong’ coldly than before. She is like a rose that raised a thorn to protect herself. Nevertheless, ‘Gong Ju-yeong’ is waiting for ‘Wang Ja-rim’ to change her mind. 

However, ‘Gong Ju-yeong’ doesn’t patient all the times. He once got very angry for ‘Wang Ja-rim’, who continuously acted violently. He was very angry, and just left her. As she thinks about ‘Gong Ju-yeong’, who has left her, she feels something uncomfortable even though that is what she always wanted. This may because she begins to like ‘Gong Ju-yeong’. In fact, nothing has changed a lot since then. The only change is that ‘Wang Ja-rim’ no longer avoid ‘Gong Ju-yeong’. If ‘Gong Ju-yeong’ holds her hands, she pretends to be angry and not to like it, but she no longer shake off his hands. 

‘Wang Ja-rim’ received blames and rebuke with no reason because of one boy, who met several girls at the same time’ when she was in the middle school. So she just closed her mind to all the boys. That is why she treated ‘Gong Ju-yeong’ coldly at first so that he can’t be in her own territory. But, ‘Gong Ju-yeong’ was hurt by one girl with in the past with the similar reason with ‘Wang Ja-rim’. As ‘Wang Ja-rim’ got to know about his past and see ‘Gong Ju-yeong’ past the same as hers, she opened her mind to ‘Gong Ju-yeong’. 

In this way, <Love Revolution> is mainly about the romance of two characters, and stories about their friends appear sometimes. It is a webtoon that you can read without any boredom because there are various episodes on other characters including ‘Lee Gyeong-woo’, the best friend of ‘Gong Ju-yeong’ who is quite cold but nice to his girlfriend, ‘Kim Byeong-un’, who studies well and is tall, ‘Ahn Gyeong-min’ who is always teased by other friends, ‘Jeong Sang-hoon’, a middle school friend of Gong Ju-yeong and goes to other high school, ‘Yang Min-ji’ a friend of ‘Wang Ja-rim’ and ‘Oh A-ram’, who is very cool enough to be called as cider. There is a charm to see the webtoon based on many characters with three-dimensional personality. 

<Love Revolution> describes the daily lives of common students. The biggest characteristic is the reality. It represents very real reality as I feel that this is drawn by real high school student. It expresses all the secrets of school days such as running away from self-study after school, having a meeting, being bullied by disorderly students, being ripped off… Especially, jokes that reflect the latest trend are very attractive. 

<Love Revolution> is a webtoon that I can admire for author’s excellent skills. I can’t believe that it is author’s debut cartoon. And I can see that author’s basic skills are very firm because his drawing type has not changed much compared to the beginning of serialization. He even puts proper bgm to stories, making us to focus the story. So, I think I will feel very sad if the series is finished. Many readers including me want to make this webtoon into a drama. So, there are many articles about virtual casting for <Love Revolution>. 

I strongly recommend <Love Revolution> to those who want to see the romance of youth, that is like puppy love and a little bit shaky, by thinking “ah..
