[Webtoon Review] 1/32 with her – The delightedness of seeing the warm growth of teacher and students
Personally, I like the works of author Ogok.
There is unique warmth in his works and it is more delicate than that of other authors.
1/32 with her, which is his recent work, is a warm cartoon with perfect completion that is delicate, but has no disorders in the story development.
The contents of the cartoon include romance and comics, little bit away from school life comics.
As you can guess in the title, in fact, not all 32 different characters appear in the webtoon.
But the author has expressed every single characteristic of students who have various appearances and personalities.
Unlike teenagers these days who take classes, attend academies and want to be similar with their favorite celebrities in a uniform manner, students in the 1/32 with her are very different.
If you see them growing up in the same class, you can see the readers who cheer up them as if they are friendly watching children in their neighborhood by being attracted to them even though they are just characters in the story.
Most of all, the growth process of character named ‘Hyeongwon’, who seemed to be the most unstable and acted as common rebellious child, doing ban things, is the most interesting.
The change of Hyoengwon, who showed erratic attitude by depending on blameless things because there was no adult who can consult with him and there was no place he can lean on, was the most pleasant part for me as a reader. This is maybe his changing attitude was took a lot in the webtoon.
If you complete to read this work by focusing on ‘Hyeongwon’, who wasn’t normal from the first, you will know why I said that it is pleasure to see his growth.
The overall story shows most of the characteristics and personalities of students, and the character I keep an eye on is a teacher along with children’s growth.
A teacher, who made her long-wished dream, came to take the first class.
As she met various students, she also experienced virtues teacher should have naturally.
The line of “Do not bind yourself in the past anymore” said to her students was also what she said to herself.
For teacher who tried to bind herself in the past, students played a big role in changing the teacher.
I think author Ogok wanted to tell various things in the webtoon of 1/32 with her.
Among them, he seemed to feel sorry that students who only focus on studying were all the same and have no special characteristics. I think that is why he expressed various images of students and special adolescence in his webtoon.
This work, which carefully and honestly developed the story, has a special fun that moves the readers’ mind with comic elements from time to time.
If you wonder about various stories of numerous characters, not jot delicate description of the author and main characters, I strongly recommend you to read 1/32 with her.
