It was the year 2006 when the cartoon began. It was when the FIFA World Cup was held in Germany (which I cannot clearly remember anymore) and the concept of 'Webtoons' was yet to be established. As I recall such times, I now find that I have been subscribing to this cartoon for a long period. In
However, now that the cartoon has gone over 950 episodes, there is a lot of humor that is far from reality. So, I believe it is ideal to think of the cartoon as 'a comedy cartoon' that is simply different from reality.
It just keeps getting fun!
From 2006 to 2015,
The cartoonist, who we thought was diligent, said in an interview "I am good at keeping promises, but I do not think I am hard-working". I consider it to be attractive for a cartoonist who we thought was just funny, to actually scrutinize about his cartoons in real life.
The character with a hexagonal face that was born from making fun of the cartoonist himself has changed a lot from the first episodes, but it still draws laughter from the readers. Perhaps, I think it is more appropriate to say that the cartoon got much more interesting than it's early stages. Although the term 'steadily funny' became natural for the cartoon in it's long run, if I was to leave a comment, I would like to label the cartoon as 'steadily getting funnier'. After passing 950 episodes, the cartoon's humor is getting more engaging day by day, making me to always wait for the next episode.
