I found 'Odd Girl Out' when I searching if there wasn't any webtoon to read on LINE Webtoon application as always. In fact, I've read it a few times before, but because of the thumbnails and the title, it didn't quite grab my attention. I like fantasy, I like action and I love mystery thriller. I love them all, but 'Odd Girl Out' felt like it will deal with the stories of adolescent girls and hence, I wasn't really drawn to it. And as soon as I finished episode 1, I didn't stop (or couldn't stop, to be precise ) and ended up reading all the episodes that came out so far.

The cute girl is Oh Nari, the main character of this title. After a successful diet, she created the best shape of her life, which indeed made her feel good about her first day of going to high school. At the new high school, she was thrilled with the joy of living a new life after a diet, wondering about what high school life would be like. Meanwhile, she meets a girl. The girl's name was Lim Yuna. She was a childhood friend of Oh Nari.

Yuna was the daughter of her mother's friend, the two mothers of these girls were also friends since their childhood. But due to some sort of incident, the two girls got separated when they were young and met once again in high school.   In fact, Yuna was the most precious childhood friend for Na-ri, but after breaking up with her in Year 6, it was the first time for Na-ri to meet her again after a long time. Among the readers, some presumed that Yuna would be the villain at first because of her disregarding and exploitative attitude toward Na-ri (even I had speculated the same). The truth was that Yuna was the person who valued Na-ri more than anybody else. Yuna despised Na-ri for being stupid when she first met her, but as Na-ri genuinely cared for her after getting a tremendous trauma due to a traffic accident, she started considering Na-ri as a friend and showed the efforts to overcome previous feelings (though she couldn't express them since being a tsundere)Until then, there were only people who approached her just by looking at her appearance, status, and financial background. Yuna had decided to go to this high school in the first place because she wanted to go to the same school as Nari. It was indeed an act of reconciliation and friendship. She plays the most important role in the webtoon and has the closest relationship with Nari. She is the jack-of-all-trades who doesn't lack in anything including appearance, wealth and intelligence. In the webtoon, she is very much admired by many people for her outstanding looks and cool personality.
