It was 2011 when the artist Il-kwon Ha has unbelievably challenged to create a crazy, comedy webtoon called <God of Bath> after throwing deep, sensitive messages so many times through <3-Part Transformation, Kim Chang-nam>, <Annarasumanara>... and other webtoons.

'Heo-se', the college student who is full of 'bluffs', is the son of a family that owns a small bathhouse in the countryside and is the main character of the webtoon. Not being able to get a proper job due to unemployment problems after graduation as we all experience nowadays, he gets deeper in debt by spending tuition fees and, living and entertainment expenses, leading him to the situation where he borrows money from loan sharks.

One day, as he was running away from the loan sharks, he hides into 'Geum-ja' Bathhouse which becomes the background of the webtoon. There, he meets the 'chairman' of Geum-ja Bathhouse and after the 'chairman' takes a look at Heo-se's hands, he writes off all of his debts and buys him from the loan sharks.

The webtoon <God of Bath> consists of the episodes that happen at the luxurious bathhouse as 'Heo-Se' who kept wandering around starts his new life as a professional bath scrubber.

Though one may assume that it would be yet another emotional webtoon based on the artist's name and the synopsis, they actually realize that it is a 'crazy and comedy' webtoon in a pure sense after reading the title.

I suppose that the duels at the bathhouse and endless ad-libs would seem quite shocking to the fans who were waiting for a webtoon to similar to the artist's previous titles. Indeed, many readers were concerned if something has happened to the artist in the webtoon's early episodes.

However, as it is often said that 'a good workman never blames his tools', the webtoon is still gaining a lot of attention from many fans since the artist has successfully infused his strength in 'messages and emotionality' into the webtoon regardless of choosing a comedy genre.

The strange feelings that 'Heo-se' experience after coincidentally becoming a scrubber despite that he was previously ashamed of his father who suggested him to take over his bathhouse, and the events that happen between the surrounding characters undoubtedly prove Il-kwon Ha's advantages. More specifically, as the artist clearly expresses the message that 'one should find a job which they could truly be passionate about' to confused young readers even with the settings, materials, characters, and directions that give off such craziness, I naturally become to think that Il-kwon Ha is an artist who we could trust for his works.

The webtoon's unique sense of comedy which erases the tattoo with a bath scrub or makes the characters fight with bath scrubs are very much fun.

However, though the ending itself was quite vain, I believe the particular emotions that the ending has portrayed are also the webtoon's significant merits.

The beautiful looking characters have attracted many female fans despite that they are bathhouse scrubbers, making the webtoon much more popular and recognized for it to get adapted into a movie.

Actor ' Kim Young-kwang ' was cast as ' Heo-se ' and the movie is being produced for it to be released in 2015. So, how about try reading the original webtoon before the movie release as it is indeed an exceptional title which certainly demonstrates the artist Il-kwon Ha's sincere message regardless of being the crazy, comedy webtoon?
