Have you heard of snack culture?

These days, smartphones have spread to a majority of the whole population. In the subway, everyone has their eyes on their smartphones. During the insanely busy commute times on the subway or bus, if you are thinking 'what are they all viewing on their smartphones? what can they actually see? I hope there is a webtoon that I can read quickly as I don't have time...', I would like to introduce the webtoon <3- Second Strip> which can be read casually in such circumstances.

<3- Second Strip> is also well known as the webtoon begging for your 3 seconds. The main character himself also plead with the readers to spend only three seconds.

The main character describes the situation in three cuts and provides the pleasure of twist in the third cut.

It's a real snack culture. It is so easy to read one whole episode. Two or three episodes are effortlessly consumed at one go as if you don't get full by just eating one piece of potato chips. Perhaps that's why the artist publishes the webtoon every day from Monday to Friday. The drawing style adopts cute characters as if they were drawn in practices to show off(?) the quality of a basic storyboard.

As the webtoon is distinguished by having 3 cuts with a twist in the end, there are indeed many moments where reactions such as 'Ah! Of course. That's it~~!' are aroused. However, in most of the cases, the webtoon just ends up at giving little fun only.

Yet, 3- Second Strip adds a second twist at this point. There are often deep hidden meanings behind the dialogues, the numbers in the background and the equations written on the blackboard. The artist who put in hidden meanings that readers have never thought of and the reader investigators in Korea who discovers such meanings!!^^ Occasionally, the comments board of < 3- Second Strip > becomes a place for IQ battle.   One reason for such controversy could be that the artist is a member of MENSA with the IQ of 156.

Though one can consume the webtoon <3-Second Strip> like a snack and get fun from reading the 3 cuts by spending 3 seconds, it also is a webtoon that gives one the contradictory fun of interpreting hidden meanings which requires time.

But the readers' evaluations of the webtoon is also inconsistent. They are divided into two opposite extremes. They are either 'Fresh and Very Good', or 'Not Fun and Meaningless'. Furthermore, they could also be either 'The Characters are So Cute', or 'The Drawing Style is Too Insincere that looks just like a basic storyboard even for a webtoon'.
