Even though the time has passed a little, the Go match between Lee Se-dol and AlphaGo still holds great significance. Robots, which were only to be found in imaginative paintings of the future, have naturally come to our daily lives. This is true not only in society but also in webtoons. Androids are no longer the subjects that are obtrusive or get avoided in webtoons. Among the webtoons depicting such androids, the articles will introduce three special webtoons revolving around androids.

 

1. Trouble X Trouble Doll (Loethigh)

What is Android? Android is simply a robot in human form. However, how do we perceive the images of a robot as we know it? In the world where androids are commonly accepted, the android Nano suddenly gets introduced to the everyday life of a very ordinary high school student, Milo Ahn, making him confused and delighted at the same time. He doubts about Nano that his deceased sister has sent him as a birthday present, but nevertheless, his compelling feelings toward her lead them to a new journey.

What would be the real identities of the androids who all have such attractive characteristics? As both protagonists explore Nano's mysterious background, you can't help but fall in love with the androids as they start to show their own unique personalities. The androids that appear in this webtoon are simply too good for humans. The way the robots love somebody else and feel emotions just as humans make the webtoon truly fascinating.

 

3. About Jane (MJ) 

Jane Kraft is ordinary. But she gets bullied by everyone. They all curse her as if they want her to hear it. But she does not get angry and endures all of this with laughter. Then one day, a boy who she kept her eyes on asks her for a date as a reward for her long-lasting patience. During her date that went just like a dream, the city suddenly gets bombed. By that, the event becomes the fundamental cause for her completely change her life.

What she could never have guessed before was that she was actually an android, not a human. As she gets locked up after the bombing, she finds out about all the secrets regarding her. In the story that effectively conveys her intense emotions as you read it, Jane continues to move forward by unraveling various mysteries that even make the readers nervous.
