I haven’t meet such a fresh and unique webtoon in a long time. Its genre is ‘Mature for Men’, and as I continue to read, I can’t help to get out of the thought that this webtoon is born to satisfy men’s desire. The author seems to know very well about what men want and where they get turned up. In terms of the story, it is not unsurpassably fresh, it doesn’t have hammer-striking reversal of the plot, and it doesn’t have very detailed setting. At least, however, anyone can feel that it adopts quite creative material. When I read the first episode, what I felt was ‘it’s fresh, and fun’.

 

The protagonist of this webtoon is ‘Cha Jinsoo’, currently designing and researching the augmented reality. For two years, he only managed to obtain a single subcontract of hologram advertisement. Frankly speaking, he wasn’t getting any work. Now he starts to wonder about his future, and there’s no room to think about a house, a car, or a girlfriend. In the middle of such frustration, laughing at himself that there won’t be a girl who would go out with him, he is suddenly visited by a young girl.

The sudden visitor, a beautiful girl, offers him a proposal. The proposal was to provide the hologram equipment as a broadcasting equipment to her. The contents of her broadcast were mature broadcast; namely, she was a mature contents streamer. Kim Solmi, who introduced herself as a quite successful streamer in the mature internet broadcasting network, ‘Sex Witch’, tells him that she visited him to sign the contract to borrow the equipment to use in broadcasting. He feels something wrong without a reason and tries to decline the offer. But he changes his mind as he looks at her tremendous money, and signs the contract. Because the amount of the money she offered was far more than the total amount he earned from the hologram advertisement subcontract for the last two years. He gives up his pride and accepts the offer.

Receiving the equipment from him, what Solmi shoots is, taking a walk while fully stripped. When people first heard of it, most of them reacted like ‘is she crazy?’ But she wasn’t crazy, because the content was possible with the hologram equipment. To those watching her broadcast, she looks as fully stripped; but in reality, to people she is fully dressed. During the shooting, Solmi is attacked by an unidentified assailant, and she happens to be raped by him. The protagonist who was watching the streaming, hurries to the shooting place and saves her by knocking the assailant down, only to become aware of that the attacker was actually an actor hired by Solmi. In the brink of botching her broadcast for his good intention, he happens to have sex with Solmi in front of the camera and the shooting successfully finishes.

After that event, she visits him to receive another equipment: the sense amplifier. It’s a quite amazing work of art. The sense amplifier is a simple product, often used in sense experience type VR gears, which makes the wearer to feel sense to the body part where it is tapped on the body model in the application made by the protagonist. It’s such an amazing device, packed up with men’s hope.

 

It makes the wearer to feel a real sense by touching a virtual body in the app. Moreover, it amplifies sensibility of the wearer, making her to have more amazing feeling. Using this device, Solmi prepares the next content and shoots, but she runs into another on-air accident and comes to have sex with the protagonist. Popularity of Solmi’s broadcast skyrockets as the accident gets positive reactions: a misfortune turns into a blessing. However, then…

Like this, the story goes on. The protagonist delivers a device, Solmi shoots with the device, and an on-air accident happens. The pattern is like that, but the materials are really unique. The devices used in broadcasting, the contents, the VR broadcasting and a device amplifying the senses. Moreover, all of these comes fresher as they are actually possible by current science and technology. Thinking about those things, we can see how much the author poured himself into it, imagining them and working hard for it.

An excellent drawing, fresh materials and charming characters are blended in harmony. What device will appear next, what accident will happen next, such questions continues to rekindle my curiosity. (And I expect what beautiful characters to come next, too.)
