It is so beautiful when you watch young and green men and women drawing out their dreams from deep inside one's heart even for me who is still attending university as well. Currently, contests for the youth to unfold such dreams are being held everywhere and the most famous among them would be [College Webtoon Contest] organized by LINE annually. [College Webtoon Contest]! Isn't it exciting to just hear the name itself? It's a stage where college students can show off their skills under their own name. It's true joy and the light of the soul for university students! College Webtoon Contest is indeed full of dreams and hopes.

 

However, even in College Webtoon Contest, just one person wins and only a few earn the opportunity to enter LINE Webtoon. Ah, how unfortunate. What a shame that the title which you were rooting for can drop out at any time and never get to see the light again. Enthusiastic fans might as well just collapse. It's absolutely unbelievable that you can never see your favorite entry title again! In fact, that's not always the case .Even if it may not be LINE Webtoon, as there are still many sites, many eyes, and many fans, a talented title surely can head to any platform to see the light. Then who would have taken the titles that disappeared from contests? Like a crow who unbiasedly collects precious gems on a roadside,   what titles would professionals editors have selected? Where can we read them? Unfortunate accidents can certainly make a new path ahead of you. What are the titles that went to the places that actually needed them? The more you hesitate, the lesser traffics they will get, so let's take a look!

1. Winter Night

 

I will begin by spoiling the less important information with the thumbnail. The editorial department of COMICA which hunts for talents from everywhere picked [Winter Night] among the entries of College Webtoon Contest. Winter Night was quite noticeable at the time of College Webtoon Contest because of its unique atmosphere and pleasant drawing style. Winter Night regrettably lost the contest as other titles were also were very competitive, but it's unique atmosphere was particularly impressive. As it is expected to be published on COMICA from May, those who found the title impressive would be able to look forward to it.

 

 

2. Youth Love Song

 

Youth Love Song which portrayed the most dramatic directing in College Webtoon Contest, but unfortunately got dropped out in the preliminary rounds, went to COMICO. It's COMICO, not COMI'CA'. This webtoon, which is currently being published on COMICO, deals with the process of a clash between the nerd male protagonist and the weirdo female protagonist. As it got eliminated from the contest whilst executing such a story, I personally wondered about how it would progress later on. Now that it has gone to COMICO, all we have to do is pay to read it.

 

 

3. My Boo

 

My Boo which performed well in the contest with it's unusual material, warm drawings and sentimental moods went to 'LINE Webtoon'. It seems that LINE will indeed recognize a capable title even if it doesn't necessarily win the contest. I assume it was more noticeable because it had attracted many fans throughout the voting process. I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of life awaits the female protagonist who now has to live together with a timid male ghost.

 

 

4. Praise for the Girl

 

The female protagonist who read people's minds, not their faces, since young encounters a male whose mind she cannot read in a coincidence one day. The reason why we cannot know how the relationship between the two people who met each other accidentally will continue is that the story gets cut off in the middle by the title getting dropped out at the contest. The romance webtoon Praise for the Girl which is written based on the settings that may seem like cliches was taken by Olleh Market. It appears to be a neat choice made by Olleh market as they favor any title that looks fun. Personally, I consider the Olleh Market website to be more readable than the DAUM Webtoon website. Shouldn't you go to Olleh Market now if you are wondering about the webtoon's next episodes?

 

 

5. Ilmae & Wolmae

The writer of [Ilmae & Wolmae] which has caught people's attention through it's dynamic action scenes and intense black-and-white illustrations that looked as if they were from Jump Comics, but still got eliminated in the preliminary rounds, has revealed at RuliWeb that he would finish the title as a short series. As I hoped for the title to enter one of the main platforms for accessible and convenient viewing, it's rather discouraging to see such an unfortunate result.

 

 

6. Heart of a Dragon

 To be honest, I don't remember this title. The only thing I can recall from this title the scene where the characters are having a skirmish at the beverage kiosk. If you were a fan of this title, you should visit FoxToon as Heart of a Dragon is currently published on FoxToon.
