Smile brush is the previous work of Smile Brush: My Old Pictures. 

I am fond of slice of life webtoons, like Smile Brush, Narm’s Story, or Nice Jin Time.

I like other genres like romance, but when I’m stressful for work or have a lot of things to think over, I want to enjoy my time of reading webtoon without using my brain. When I’m reading a slice of life, I learn how people are doing these days, I laugh or cry at stories, or I empathize with a story, saying ‘yes, it was!’, on things which I have already been through.

Anyway, Smile Brush is such an easy-read webtoon. It’s not a special story, but it’s a slice of life where the author unfolds his own story.

 

First, Waroo’s drawing is so cute. The character is simple, but it’s totally cute!!! Ugh…!!!

As I know, many character products of it are being sold in the market. Waroo’s in-drawing character is a man with a long hair. He says people usually mistake him as a woman for his character’s long hair. But he’s a man. As he mentioned once, he hasn’t been taken care of his hair after his father, a barber, died. So, it represents the 21 years’ empty place of his father, who had cut his hair once in two weeks.

 

A cute character tells his story in a tender and simple manner: Smile Brush. It’s a story of a male author who is much sentimental like a woman, telling the stories in his childhood diary. The episodes of Waroo’s life make me smile. It was so popular and now it’s on a printed book, too, so, in Line Webtoon or by a printed book, I wish you read it once!
