Can't you feel the vibe of this webtoon from the title, Cherry Blossoms? It brings the warm sensibility that reminds us of spring,

and the scenery of pink cherry blossoms scattering. When spring comes, or the temperature goes up, the song Cherry Blossom Ending by Busker Busker’s Beomjun Jang always comes across my mind. As the spring wind blows. The scattering cherry blossom petals. Spread out on this street. As we walk together.

When you look up, there are cherry blossoms in full bloom. When the wind blows softly, the petals are blown, and if you walk along the street with your lover, you will be perfectly happy, won’t you? Anyway, the webtoon Cherry Blossoms feels cherry blossoms and a sweet feeling.

 

This webtoon brings a romantic sensibility that is cute and pretty and liked by females. 

Oh, the cartoonist Subong Park is the same cartoonist of The Girl from the Class that I reviewed earlier. Reading The Girl from the Class, I mentioned that I could feel sensibility from artworks and charters even though eyes, noses, mouths are now drawn and there are not many dialogues.

 

I like the characters from Cherry Blossoms because they don’t express lots of emotions as well.

In the summery of the cartoon, it’s written that “The girl that you keep thinking of when it blossoms. Regretting not having been able to express your true feelings to her a year ago. Should have had the courage to hold her hands.”

 

This is about a soon-to-be-a-senior high school boy who thinks of a girl who he had a crush on about a year ago when cherry blossoms were about to bloom. Episode 1 begins with the scene where the main character is heartily running. It’s because he wants to see his crush who always gets on the bus at the same time.

 

But, she’s just a friend who has been close for a long time ago. The male main character confessed that he liked her when he was in grade three in his middle school years. But, a bus arrived at that time. Because of the noise from the bus, she didn’t hear him. She asked him to talk about it next week and got on the bus. His confession went vain. The cartoonist artist delicately expresses these feelings of one-sided love.

 

 

However, the girl had a boyfriend who she had been dating for about a year. One day when the cherry blossoms bloomed, she broke up with her boyfriend. And she told her friend, the male main character about it. And stories are continued. This webtoon is enough to allow you to feel the love all around you.
