Dead Life, the whereabouts of intelligent zombies

Dead Life is a new Monday webtoon of Naver. Its genre is 'Zombies'. Having a background of modern South Korea, streets are already full of zombies with sunken eyes, and surviving teachers and students fight in the battle against zombies at school. Webtoon starts by showing a man who wanders the streets for some reason. Zombies in this world are extremely degenerate in all other senses except their sense of smell, so they can be secured if they are properly equipped and block the smell. At least they thought so far. However, at the starting point of this webtoon, a zombie with intelligence and the sense appears, and the zombie make the man - actually this man is a nurse teacher in the school - in danger, and more, drive a truck to follow him to school. Of course, the crisis expands to the students and other teachers, and a silly student who does not listen to the teacher behaves badly. As a result, they see the blood.
Another Zombie on the same platform has been mentioned in a previous review of Misiryung, but the zombie is a material that can be expanded into a wide variety of detail genres. 'Dead Life' came out with a fresh item called 'Zombie with intelligence' instead of the classic story that fights zombies with guns and deals with human conflicts. At this point, the 'intelligent zombie' does not mean everything about the first appeared one. That would be too simple composition. Soon, another intelligent zombie appears, and the story revolves around two axes: these zombies and a group of survivors who are doing their best to survive.
We do not know in the early stages, what are the identities and secrets of the intelligent zombies, and what variables will act. However, the early part of the webtoon proved that it is a pretty good webtoon. As with all other genres, zombies have the right atmosphere or writing technique for them, whether they have smart zombies or not, but 'Dead Life' is a passing point in this part. It is because it maintains rules of 'Zombies-ish' as the students who don't know what's going on, the health teachers who are trying to protect them (which is probably from the special forces?), and the crisis that suddenly strikes them.
I can't wait to see what kind of fun it brings out in the genre. The way to solve baits and interest readers about zombies is not too fast or too slow. It is a plus that the amount of story in the early part is generous. Drawings are somewhat reminiscent of American comics, and this part goes well with the atmosphere of the whole work. Readers who like zombies, mysteries, and abilities might find one more work to check out.
