The author, Lee Hyunmin, once awarded a title of ‘the artist anticipated to make a great Mature work’, was one of Line Webtoon’s hope for his prominent drawing and passionate jokes. His debut work, [Ready for Start] was an amazing work, catching all of jokes, impression, story, and popularity. Thus, I never had suspicion on his success. Indeed, he crossed between Action and Comedy and seemed soon-to-be one of the best artists in Line Webtoon. My expectation, however, missed as one day he moved lightly to Lezhin Comics.

A rumor said he was fired from Line, and the other rumor said Lezhin scouted him with more money, but we don’t know the truth as he doesn’t reveal. In Lezhin, he tried a Mature work. The artist, who was anticipated to make a great mature work and who was maybe paying attention to the title, came back to the webtoon industry with a very thick mature work: Drug Candy.

As he was superb on directing capability, sense of story, and sense of joke from before, it was naturally a monumentally good work. But it also had regrets: too much presence of his previous work, Ready to Start, was in it to make the readers hard to immerse into the serious atmosphere of the current work, and it dealt with marital infidelity issue, which is a subject of strong preference. However, the work itself was perfect and he could firmly defend the title of the artist anticipated to make a great Mature work.

Now he comes with this newest work. It’s not a work dealing with marital infidelity which is a subject to strong preference, and he bleached the color of Ready to Start which hindered the reader’s immersion before. Like the saying of Lü Meng, a general in Imperial Age China once said, boasting his fast growth of knowledge, ‘a gentleman changes with time so much that one must rub their eyes and look’. The author boasts his new look nevertheless he is already on the high place.

<Secret X Folder> is desire-themed, and it deals with hot stories of different couples of men and women. All those stories have no part to throw away, as they all have good settings and compositions. As it is armed with unique settings, fun, and the author’s one-of-a-kind sense of joke for every episode, <Secret X Folder> is a work not to be missed. I hope it’d be our ‘X Folder’ in webtoon sites.
