I’d be disappointed in myself if I don’t write a review about this webtoon. This is too good to pass. Before We Knew It is a webtoon with a genre that most of the population favour---romance. This masterpiece of Nakano Mayaka has a plot that hooks people. The plot twist, the connections, the backstories, and the subtle but strong erotic scenes(one of the reasons why people are hooked). No wonder people turned it into a movie (as I’ve researched). I binge-read the whole thing and now I have to pitifully wait for uploads.
I’ve been hurt by this webtoon a couple of times already and the story is just starting off. If I were to speak frankly, I would say that the general story is typical. But the detailed story is different. Let’s say the story has three main points to go through but the process or journey from one point to another is different every time. That’s what this story is. A different kind of typical. I need a copy of this. One that’s completed.

I love the characters but they seemed too common but still the story gives justice. I found the image cover a little weak. I didn’t like it to be honest. That’s why this webtoon sat on my to-read list for a very long time. I actually read it because the other webtoons I’m reading haven’t uploaded anything yet. Shameful. The lightness of colors used for this suits the story well. Like something out of a story book which is quite distant to how the image cover looks. The characters were drawn with focus on their facial features.
There were short quotations referenced from books which I don’t know if real or not. But I loved those quotations…so much. I wish it were a real book. I’d read them all.

“We’ll incur the wrath of god, she said. As she stared at him, eyes filled with tears. Fall to hell with me.”
“When the moon is round, it’s smiling at you. When the moon is half hidden, that’s when it’s playing games with you. And if the moon is gone and it’s dark outside, it means the moon is crying. So you should go and cry with the moon.”
There is not much to say about it since it’s still new but the story brings quite a color to your dull everyday life. If ever I visit Japan, I’d like a copy of the completed manga.
