Little drops of happiness in your daily life is what this webtoon is. Smile Brush consists of episodes about the life of the author. It’s undeniable that the story gave justice to the title. It won’t be hard to read even when you’re busy. And every episode is such a sweet treat and they are so relatable. But I do have to say that not all the episodes will be happy since it’s about lived experiences. There are good times and bad times but still the charm of how this webtoon make you smile will always be there when you read each episode. One major confusion is that the character is actually a boy. It was my fault for not reading the summary first. As you read on, you’ll notice that waroo is really a boy.

What makes this webtoon enjoyable to read are the stories an episode holds. I loved how almost every episode is so relatable and gives lessons. Although some are episodes of sadness, it won’t leave you sad since it would end with a memorable lesson. Most of the situations in the webtoon I’ve also been through and some I’m still going through. The color palette and as well as the figures are minimalistic and only focused on the specifics. The colors give off a friendly vibe which was a good decision for it.

The second season was like a journey through the life of the author himself. Each photograph illustrated holds a precious memory that he shared. It was awesome, if I were to speak my mind. It was a fun idea to behold stories behind pictures in a form of a webtoon. That’s commendable thinking right there. There were a couple of episodes that were confusing, though. I felt like it should be elaborated more for the readers to understand. Actually, I thought I was the only one who couldn’t understand but as I was scrolling down, I saw that some readers left comments where they said they couldn’t either. But even though I said that, don’t get me wrong. Another thing I like about the author is that he is very eloquent in explaining the story, giving lines for the characters and as well as the supporting sentences that further explains each episode. He was very well spoken. I could understand each sentences clearly. Most of them were short sentences but they were very well explained. The whole thought was there in a sentence.

Too bad that the author ended the seasons too short. I couldn’t get enough of Smile Brush. I’m curious to how his new webtoons would turn out. Ones that are not a part of his life story. I guess I have more to look forward to.
